Looking back to when I was little, my school days were a constant nightmare. I was frequently bullied, incredibly shy, had little to no self-confidence, and I struggled to speak, read and write proper english. As a result, every day life was a struggle and making friends was even harder. The idea of being placed in a day camp for the summer with other children hightened the anxiety I already felt. As someone who grew up in a middle class family most high-end camps had too big a ticket price, so I often found myself attending day camps that did not serve in helping me develop necessary skills. Nor did camp add much excitement to my summer.
Fast forward 18 years later, and the same problems seem to still exist. I hear friends, family and acquaintances voice their frustration with extracurricular activities for children lacking infrastructure and programs that would only prove to be overpriced and under delivering.
For my 10th birthday, my mother enrolled me in martial arts – and my life changed forever. 18 years of training, an array of medals, trophies, championships, as well as personal and professional accolades later, I knew I would one day want to transform the lives of many as martial arts did for me. The idea for Storm Innovations was born and my journey to aid individuals around the globe to acquire life skills and live a more fulfilling life began.
I strongly believe that investing in our youth is crucial to building a better tomorrow. For this reason, I created a program for children to gain the experience of a lifetime.

This summer Storm Innovations Inc. has partnered with the Ottawa Rideau Curling Club to bring you a superior camp facility!
Located at 715 Cooper St, Ottawa ON K1R 5J5, only 8 mins from downtown Ottawa and 8 mins from Place du Portage.
Our location not only looks beautiful but comes equipped with an access control system to ensure your child's safety.
Storm Camp will also have access to an outdoor pool, playground, and sporting area at the local community centre.
The first thing I noticed and loved is that the kids never lost their excitement each day they attended. They were so excited to learn something new and to make new friends. All those fights I was expecting and dreading each morning to get them out of bed never happened.
Storm Camp taught them to be thankful for every day, to appreciate the small things and to lead by example. Their team nurtured fun, active and holistic activities that taught the kids about self-defense, first aid, the environment, space, animals and so much more, which all included fun crafts, science experiments and snacks!
Each week was themed and structured to cater to the broad interest of the kids. The team gave them the time to listen, the courage to ask questions, and the curiosity to want to learn. They became natural leaders and were encouraged to support each other in their group. The kids still talk about Storm Camp and the team more than 6 months later! I will definitely be enrolling them again this year!

Week 1: Animal Planet (July 6-10)
Learn about the wild and the animals which inhibit various habitats with fun activities such as, Judo Panda, Arctic Science, salt dough seastars, DIY mini aquarium, a game of lifesize hungry hippo and more. ($396 Value)
